Leadership Investors
Currently, 12 major employers in the Region comprise the roster of Leadership Investors. Each has a seat on the Board of Directors of the Alliance, and representatives of the 12 also meet quarterly. To support the Alliance’s four-year plan, each invests a minimum of $82,500 – with the average annual investment of each Leadership Investor exceeding $115,000. Strategic Partners
More than 100 businesses, professional firms, local Chambers of Commerce, and a broad range of public and private institutions make up the current roster of Strategic Partners. Each Strategic Partner has a seat on the Economic Development Council, which meets quarterly to help the Alliance establish and execute the tactics necessary to achieve its goals. Each Strategic Partner invests an annual amount equal to $275 plus $8 per employee in the Region, plus $6,000 for a seat on the Council. Hartford Investors
Over 700 businesses, professional firms, and a broad range of public and private institutions support the Alliance with an annual investment equal to $275 plus $8 per employee in the Region. As with all other investors, the members of this group play an integral role in the success of the Alliance by contributing their time and expertise to the Alliance’s committees as well as by serving as ambassadors for the Alliance’s mission, goals, and strategies. Each Alliance Investor receives a variety of benefits, including a listing in the Alliance’s membership directory and website and the opportunity to participate in the Alliance’s programs and networking events. Regional Partners
A company or firm that is a member of one of 16 participating local Chambers of Commerce has the opportunity to join the Alliance at a special annual rate and be listed in the Alliance’s directory and website. In exchange for its active support of the joint membership program and the Alliance’s mission and goals, each participating Chamber sits on the Economic Development Council as a Strategic Partner. Municipal Investors
Thirty-two municipalities currently invest in the Alliance, including all 29 towns that comprise the Capitol Region Council of Governments. Each invests an annual amount equal to $0.20 per resident, which supports the Alliance’s ability to market the Region to current and prospective employers. Each municipality has access to a variety of services from the Alliance and the opportunity to participate in a number of economic development initiatives that are critical to business and job growth in the Region. The investment also provides the municipality’s businesses with access to the Alliance’s Growth Fund Loan Program and technical assistance.
